He said, "I want to improve my design ability." I asked one question. After an hour, he still couldn't answer it.

I spoke with a lead designer and business owner with 15 years of experience for one hour.
He said, "I've never been able to improve my design ability. I can't produce good design. What should I do?"
I asked him, "What do you mean by 'good'?"
He said, "When clients like it, it's good."
I asked again, "So if clients like it, but you don't, is that good or not good?"
He paused.
We talked for 30 minutes, and he kept circling: "Good is just good. That's it."
I said, "What makes it impossible for you to define this 'good'?"
He was silent for a moment. "Good is just good. Is there anything else?"
That day, we never found the answer.
Six months later, I heard his company had run into trouble.
So-called "you become what you think about": if your thinking is unclear, nothing can be achieved, and you don't even know where to direct your energy.
If you've also been grinding for years inside a vague word like "good," reach out. Let's find the root cause together. Your time and energy belong on high-return goals.
