She said, “The industry is too competitive.” She talked for a whole hour. In the end, she finally saw the vicious cycle.

“The industry is too competitive. Clients’ information is unclear, peers are cutting prices, resources are limited…”

She started venting right after sitting down, about the market, clients, team issues, and insufficient investment. She spoke nonstop for thirty minutes.

After thirty minutes, I said, “Everything I’m hearing is just problems.”

She paused, shifted her perspective, and went around in another circle - worries, pain points, difficulties - still circling back to the same place.

Fifteen minutes later, I interrupted her again.

“Forty-five minutes have passed. Still the same problem. Is this the only way?”

She was stunned for a minute. Then she opened her mouth… and it was still about the problems.

I ended the conversation.

“Do you see that vicious cycle now? It’s not outside. It’s inside you.”

That day, I didn’t give her any solutions. I just let her see it clearly, then guided her to take the next step.

If you also feel stuck in a problem, going around in circles again and again, and can’t break out no matter how hard you try - feel free to reach out. Let’s find the root cause together. Your time and energy deserve to be spent on high-return goals.
