A Coach Without Bottom Lines Won't Go Far

I — Independent(独立)
M — Motivated(被教练者有动力)
P — Paid(收费)
A — Authentic(真实)
C — Coach(只做教练)

I've seen too many coaches start with a clear vision.
Then clients come. Money comes. Projects come. And then - they say yes to everything.
Free sessions. Wrong-fit clients. Unmotivated coachees.
The result? Scattered energy. Blurred boundaries. Becoming a "nice person" who says yes to everyone.
That's not coaching. That's a car without a steering wheel.
I've walked that path myself. So now I have six bottom lines.
Not to reject clients. To protect my vision.
My Six Bottom Lines: IMPACT
I — Independent
I don't take sides. I don't advocate for any party. My voice is my own.
If I speak for the client when paid by them, and for the designer when paid by them — what am I? A mercenary, not a coach.
M — Motivated
I only work with people who are self-motivated.
I don't push. I don't pull. I don't chase.
If you don't want to move, I can't help you. This isn't coldness. It's respect for both our time.
P — Paid
One free experience. After that, paid engagement.
Free is a gift. Paid is professional.
A coach who fears talking about money isn't humble - they just haven't confirmed their own value yet.
A — Authentic
I don't perform. I don't pretend. I don't say what I don't believe.
Clients come to me not because I'm perfect, but because I'm real.
An inauthentic coach cannot ask real questions.
C — Coach only
No answers. No teaching. No expert role.
Only questions. Only catalysis. Only empowerment.
If you want someone to give you solutions - that's not me.
T — Top-3 only
No drawing. No execution. Only strategic alignment, needs clarification, and team consensus.
This isn't arrogance. It's focus. I know what I do best. And I only do that.
What happens without bottom lines?
It starts smoothly — take any money, take any project.
But slowly, you'll notice:
You're doing things you don't enjoy
You're serving people who aren't right for you
Your energy is pulled in every direction
You drift further from your own vision
That's not growth. That's falling apart.
Bottom lines don't make it harder for you. They make sure you serve only the right people.
The right people deserve all of you. The wrong people don't deserve a minute.
Finally
My bottom lines are IMPACT.
What are yours?
Write them down. Hold them.
Because how far a coach can go doesn't depend on how many clients they take - it depends on what they say no to.
